Synopsis:
Somewhere in a sea of tulle and taffeta, satin and crepe, Katie Fisher needs to find a key ingredient of the perfect wedding--the groom.
Small-town girl Katie Fisher is busy planning her fairy-tale wedding. Sure, her boyfriend hasn't managed to pop the question just yet, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't enter a contest in Texas Bride magazine to win the dress of her dreams, right? Anyway, she's sure he'll be getting down on one knee any time now. And a one-of-a-kind designer dress doesn't just fall out of the sky right when you need it.

But when Katie's boyfriend takes a job in another town and breaks up with her--on the very same day she wins her dream dress--her world is turned upside down. Dare she go to Dallas to claim her prize? And will the hunky pro basketball player who runs the beyond-swanky bridal shop--yeah, you read that right--discover her humiliating secret if she does?
Review:
I have to admit, I'm a little late in my review for this book, and I am very sorry about that. Life changes have happened and have thrown off my review ability, but I'm slowly getting back in to the swing of things again. My apologies on the lateness of this again.

It did take me a little bit of time to get into this story. It's my own fault, because, I'm the opposite of Katie Fisher from the book. She has her dream wedding planned down to the last little detail. I wasn't like that...heck, I'm still not! Ha! But, I do know girls who are like that, so I had to step away from my own ideas and look at this Katie through different eyes, and when I did, I started to enjoy the story.

Janice Thompson has a fun and creative way of intertwining humor into her stories. I have to say my favorite of her stories has to still be A Bouquet of Love, which came out last year, but Every Bride Needs A Groom was a cute addition to Janice's books.

I do love how in every story, Janice makes Texas shine. The characters she places in and around the story really do encompass the people all around the state in some form or fashion. You can say, I know someone just like so-and-so.

This story had an interesting twist to where our leads meet. I wasn't sure how it would work, considering the setting, but I thought it played off well and it was a cute and fresh idea. Brady was an interesting and of course handsome lead. It was fun that he was a pro-basketball. It was fun to see how that all played off, especially with where the two met.

Even though this wasn't my favorite of these books, it was still very enjoyable. It had fun setting and the writing was steady and the story was full of the usual wit I've come to expect from Janice Thompson's book.
